The History Department places an equal emphasis on the teaching and development of Taiwanese history, Chinese history, and world history. Our practical curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and tools to continue to develop after graduation. Such training includes enriching the student’s basic historical knowledge and raising the student's historical consciousness in order to enable them to understand the nature of knowledge and to use the historical method in their future career or academic life.
The Graduate School focuses upon Taiwanese history, Chinese history, and Western history. Emphasis is placed upon rigorous specialist training and fostering students’ ability to study independently; most importantly, it is not only to prepare the next generation of instructors, but to train talented individuals for future academic research.
